We're putting together one of the largest teams in the Games!
The security services teams G4S will be providing throughout the Games include:
- Conducting searches of people, bags and vehicles
- Patrolloing sites
- Operating x-ray machines at key Olympic locations
- CCTV and alarm monitoring
- Responding to incidents
- Asset protection
- Providing visitors with assistance and directions
- Providing command and control communications
New Faces
G4S has already taken on 10,400 new employees for the Games!
- More than 100,000 people expressed an interest in a security role
- 67,000 people booked an interview
- 21,000 successfully passed the interview stage
- All new frontline employees are receiving role-specific training
More than half of our new employees are from the five Olympic host boroughs: Greenwich, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forrest.
From 65 year old drivers to 18 year old stewards, we have a very diverse range of people in our team.
