Award winning event stewarding at Galpharm Stadium

G4S Events works on behalf of Kirklees Stadium Development Ltd to provide security and stewarding at Galpharm Stadium. The stadium’s impressive annual event programme includes major Rugby Union and Rugby League Internationals, England U21 Soccer Internationals and high profile rock concerts. The venue is also home to Huddersfield Town FC and Huddersfield Giants Super League Rugby Club.

The successful partnership between G4S’s management team at the ground and Kirklees Stadium Development Ltd has seen the company supplying stewarding staff to the stadium for over ten years.

Results

G4S’s stewarding team is part of an award winning operation at the stadium to which anywhere between 30 to 150 G4S stewarding and security staff are provided per game.

Aided by G4S, Huddersfield Town won the Sports Alliance Family Club of the Year Award for Coca- Cola League 1 at the 2008 Football League awards. The award has been introduced by The Football League to recognise clubs delivering an outstanding match day experience that encourages families to come back time and time again. All 72 clubs were visited by mystery shopper families, in both the home and away areas, as part of the assessment.
