Our services

We provide protective security and risk management for oil and gas facilities and pipeline projects around the world.

We also provide experienced and well qualified close protection teams and personal security details for clients, ensuring their safety at all times, including when traveling to oil and gas sites.

Case study: Kazakhstan

More than 800 G4S security personnel work at the Tengiz oil field in the Zhylyoi Region of Kazakhstan on the north-eastern shore of the Caspian Sea. Tengiz is the world’s sixth largest oil field with a concession area of 1,000 square miles and up to nine billion barrels of recoverable crude oil and a vast amount of natural gas

It is operated by the Tengizchevroil (TCO) joint venture, comprising ChevronTexaco, KazMunaiGas, ExxonMobil Kazakhstan Ventures and LukArco,

We provide static and mobile security guards and patrol the hundreds of miles of roads and tracks that traverse the vast concession area.

We also man more than 20 check points, all of which are equipped with gas detectors that G4S guards are trained to monitor,. G4S personnel are also employed in Atyrau, the region’s administrative centre more than 200 miles north of Tengiz. One of our key tasks there is to guard TCO’s Dostyk complex where senior company staff and their families are housed.

Case study: Nigeria

Protecting oil companies in Nigeria’s Delta region is a challenging tasks from a security perspective. The principal threats in the region come from politically motivated groups and theft by organised and opportunist criminals.

The core operation in Nigeria is providing security support to Chevron Nigeria Ltd’s (CNL) off and on-shore production platforms and pipelines. In order to fulfill our client’s security requirement, we have developed a range of strategies from the deployment of coastal patrol boats to involvement in initiatives aimed at gaining and retaining the support of local communities living near oil facilities.

We also protect CNL’s administrative headquarters in Warri and Lekki, as well as the company’s gas liquefaction facilities. We employ around 600 security guards and other personnel to provide static and mobile protection to CNL. Our capacity was boosted in 2007 when we acquired two high-speed patrol boats to serve as escorts for offshore transfers, enabling the movement of armed rapid reaction force personnel to deter those seeking to disrupt CNL’s work in Nigeria.

Case study: Scandinavia
