Children's homes
We seek to provide quality, professional and safe care for young people who are vulnerable and/or a risk to themselves or others
Our children’s homes are registered by Ofsted and operated by G4S Children’s Services. Our residential homes aim to provide quality, professional and safe care for young people who are vulnerable or might be a risk to themselves and others.
Our homes are specially designed five or six-bed residential houses, providing single room accommodation for young people aged between 12 and 17. All young people have their own lockable bedrooms which they are encouraged to personalise with their own belongings. All homes have a communal lounge, dining room, kitchen and education room.
We currently have four children’s homes, Buckby House, Abbey House and Eversley House in Northamptonshire, and our newest home Harpury House in Bedfordshire. Each house is run by a dedicated manager, and all staff are trained to work with young people with backgrounds of neglect and physical or emotional abuse. Our homes offer:
- Individual care and education packages
- Short, medium and long-term placements
- Emergency and planned provisions
- Assessment services from our own qualified Clinical and Forensic Psychologists
- Enriched curriculum
We adopt an holistic approach in looking after our residents which promotes positive behaviour, high self-esteem and confidence. The policies and aims of our children’s homes are derived from the principles of childcare best practice and ensure the ‘Every Child Matters’ outcomes for young people are fully addressed.
