Home Curfew Monitoring Add this

Home curfew monitoring is a cost-effective way to remotely supervise low-risk offenders.

Home monitoring can be used to monitor a single offender in multiple locations, for example their home and their place of work. A single MU can also be used to monitor several offenders, making it an ideal low-cost monitoring solution for 'bail' or 'bond' hostels.

An OM247 home monitoring system typically uses the following components:

Overview

A PID is fitted securely around the offender's ankle, and an MU is installed at the curfew address (usually the offender's home). The MU detects the presence or absence of the PID (and therefore the offender) and sends this information to the monitoring centre. If the offender breaks their curfew order by being absent during a curfew period, an alarm is raised at the monitoring centre.

The integrity of the system is protected by a range of anti-tamper features. If the PID is removed or the Monitoring Unit is moved or disconnected, an alarm is automatically raised at the monitoring centre. All communications between devices are securely encrypted.
