Facilities management Add this

G4S specialises in healthcare integrated facilities management (FM) and specialist support services, and successfully delivers both hard and soft FM services, tailored to healthcare environments

We tailor our services to meet our customers’ needs and to deliver continuous improvement and service innovation. Our model is one of self delivery but we work closely with key strategic partners and preferred suppliers when appropriate. Our services, reporting and customer care are co-ordinated through a helpdesk either on- or off-site, depending on the requirement.  Our services include:

  • Cleaning
  • Catering
  • Housekeeping
  • Portering
  • Reception and helpdesk services
  • Mail room
  • Linen and laundry services
  • Waste management
  • Grounds maintenance
  • Pest control
  • Window cleaning
  • Maintenance and estates services
  • Life cycle and asset management
  • Furniture, fittings and equipment (FFE)
  • Churn and minor works management
  • Energy and utility management
  • Security (including car park services).

We provide short term healthcare hotel services with a typical contract length of five to seven years. We are also experienced in PPP (Public Private Partnerships) and PFI (Private Finance Initiative) contracts, providing services for 25-30 years.

Our people – your team

G4S recognises the importance of customer care, continuity of staff and partnership when delivering FM services in a healthcare environment. Our values of Teamwork, Collaboration and Care underpin the G4S ‘our people – your team’ delivery model for patients, visitors and Trust staff.

Control of infection

Infection prevention and control is central to our service delivery model.  All staff receive training on hygiene and infection control as part of their induction, and receive regular, on-going refresher training.  We work closely with our customer Trusts to conduct joint training and ensure our infection control policies are aligned. Cleaning equipment and materials are colour coded according to their risk areas to prevent cross-contamination.
