London 2012
G4S is proud to be the official provider of security and cash services to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games
From the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on 27 July to the closing ceremony of the Paralympic games on 9 September, the world’s largest sporting event will attract more than 14,000 athletes, 10 million spectators and a global audience of an estimated 4 billion.
G4S is responsible for recruiting, training and managing the security workforce that will be tasked with securing the Games.
We've been involved for some time already: G4S commenced its security operations for The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) in March 2011, and we have provided security services at Olympic venues across the country as well as at many non-competition venues and at LOCOG's test events, in the build up to and during the Games.
