Working at the Games means...
... that you’ll play a vital role in ensuring a safe and secure Games.
G4S have responsibility for the effective recruiting, training and operational deployment of the security workforce that will be tasked with securing the Games which are expected to attract over 12,000 athletes and in excess of 10 million spectators to the Olympic and Paralympic venues located throughout the UK, during a two week period commencing 27 July 2012.
To work with us you will need to use your communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to remain calm under pressure, to think quickly on your feet and maintain your professional manner.
At present the requirements are:
• preferably you will hold a current SIA Door Supervisor licence
• Relevant industry or sector experience is desirable
• Ability to demonstrate a high standard of customer service
• A good standard of verbal and written English communications (ideally you will already hold a GCSE at A- C or an NVQ at level 2 or above)
• Eligible to work in the UK
• 5 year verifiable work/ life history
• Ability to work hourly based shifts
To be considered for a Supervisor role you also need one year’s plus industry experience, preferably in a supervisory role, and to demonstrate the skills and abilities to be an effective Supervisor at our assessment days. To be considered for a Duty Manager role you will need more than one year’s industry experience and to demonstrate experience of having successfully managed a staff team.
