We provide specialist crews and vehicles for transporting patients in need of higher levels of care. Emergency Medical Technicians care for these patients and those with non-standard travel needs

In response to a growing need from our customers we launched a new service using specially trained Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to transport vulnerable patients and those in need of higher levels of clinical care.  Specialist medical ambulances also provide the capability to transport bariatric i.e. very heavy patients.  The services are available to both contracted and non-contracted customers.

Specialist crews and vehicles

Fully trained and vetted Ambulance Technicians operate purpose-built ambulances to ensure safe and comfortable transport for the patient.  The specialist vehicles are fully equipped with the latest medical equipment, and are electronically tracked for safety purposes, and so we can provide real time journey data.

EMTs receive high levels of first aid training including resuscitation, and monitor the status of the patients closely throughout the journey.  The EMT service operates 24 hours a day to transport patients as comfortably and securely as possible.

Efficient, simple to access and cost effective services

The service is coordinated from a central Control Centre.  A dedicated team manages the bookings, which can be made by phone, email or on line, to minimise the administrative burden for busy medical staff.  The G4S Control system can provide detailed management reports to help manage the costs, and booking controls can be set up to ensure only those with the correct authority are allowed to book a journey, guaranteeing transparency and audit control.

All procedures are endorsed and audited by our Clinical Governance team, providing peace of mind for our customers and their patients.
