Multi-skilled staff to meet your requirements
G4S Central Region - a dedicated part of G4S Secure Solutions (UK) operating across the Midlands and East Anglia, has been working in partnership with Tricorn House since September 2008, providing a variety of front of house services, as well as the security provision of the communal areas of the office, and its business residents.
Tricorn House is a prestigious, ten floor office suite located in the centre of Birmingham, with over 15 businesses residing in the office - from the hours of 7am to 7pm.
G4S is contracted to the facilities management team and work along side them to provide 24 hour security and front of house services. The day to day relationship is however, with the business residents, and such G4S must ensure their requirements are also met.
In order to perform the two-tiered service; security and front of house, G4S has consolidated two roles into one by providing staff with customer service training, and ensuring they are SIA licensed.
By consolidating the roles G4S has reduced overheads and cost to the facilities management team, whilst maintaining high customer service levels.
Challenge in meeting different business requirements
Like many multi-occupied office suites, business requirements can differ. G4S work closely with all business residents to ensure their individual requirements are met, which can include providing additional car parking or concierge duties.
This gives residents the confidence in knowing that not only will they be looked after, but so will their visitors.
Physical security presence and front of house duties
Based in the reception area, G4S is perfectly placed to carry out the consolidated security and front of house duties for: business residents, visitors, contractors and couriers. The service is bespoke, and as such G4S provides the following:
During business hours
In order to deliver an exceptional visitor experience, G4S provides security and front of house duties such as:

Reception and concierge services - directing visitors, opening doors and taking coats

Meeting and greeting guests in a friendly, open, honest and courteous manner

Management and monitoring of car park

CCTV monitoring based from reception - 24 hours a day

Patrolling
Outside of normal business hours
Tricorn House is closed from the hours of 7pm to 7am. However, as some residents need to work during these hours, we will open the office earlier, and wait until the final person has left the building to ensure individual requirements have been met. G4S will then:

Continue to provide on-site security

Secure the building

Patrol through the night

Ensure Health and Safety requirements are met - monitor any threat such as fire or floods, which can cause damage to the building and result in potential loss to Tricorn House and business residents

Identify and resolve security matters
Weekends
Tricorn House has contractors who provide maintenance services over the weekend. As G4S is based at Tricorn House 24 hours a day, everyday, we continue to provide a security presence, whilst advising and directing contractors to the appropriate location.
