G4S awarded South African Tourism Board contract

G4S Assessment Services, one of the UK’s leading quality inspection, assessment and accreditation companies, has been awarded a contract to provide the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (the tourism quality assurance unit of the South African Tourism Board) with a software system to improve their accommodation review and categorisation process
Ms Thembi Kunene, Chief Quality Assurance Officer, South African Tourist Board, commented; ‘’The contract will cover the development, installation and maintenance of a bespoke system which will centralise and automate several processes such as invoicing, management of assessments, report and rating generation and complaint handling; helping us process in excess of 8,000 accommodation assessments per year. This system will also help us to dramatically improve our service levels towards ensuring South Africa’s international competitiveness as a tourism destination’’
Commencing in July, the contract will also include full training provision and ongoing help desk support from the G4S Assessment Services office based in the UK.
