G4S Screening & Vetting awarded ISO27001 certification

G4S Screening & Vetting, (G4S) a subsidiary of G4S Plc, the world’s largest secure solutions company, has been awarded the ISO 27001 certification by the National Security Inspectorate (NSI), the approvals body which inspects companies providing security to businesses. This is the first ISO 27001 certification the NSI has issued since the standard was first published in 2005.

The ISO 27001 certification is an internationally recognised information security management standard and to achieve the certification, G4S underwent a robust audit to ensure: its management team were systematically examining the business’s information security risks; a comprehensive suite of information security controls were in place; and there was a strong management process in place to continually review the information security requirements to meet the changing needs of the business.

G4S Employment Screening & Vetting excels in providing a wide range of services to a wide range of commercial customers.  Its services include carrying out a wide range of checks from a full pre-employment check to confirmations of finances, identity and qualifications

Adrian Taylor, Managing Director, G4S Employment Screening & Vetting, commented: “This is a great achievement and we are very proud to be the first recipient of this certification from the NSI. G4S Employment Screening & Vetting provides professional and accurate employment screening checks to businesses so it is very rewarding the NSI has recognised our commitment to information security within our business.”

Jeff Little, Chief Executive, NSI, stated : “We are pleased to have issued our first ISO 27001 certification to G4S: it symbolises the hard work and dedication they put into ensuring they protect and secure both their company information and that of their customers. The ISO 27001 certification provides customers with the peace of mind that G4S works to the highest recognised industry standards.”
