G4S to provide claims investigation services for UK insurer Aviva
G4S Cotswold Group, the UK’s leading insurance investigation business, has been awarded the contract to carry out all bodily injury claims investigations for UK insurer, Aviva.
Formerly undertaken by Aviva’s in-house Claims Investigation function, the investigations caseload, together with 80 Claims Investigators, transferred to G4S on 1st January.
Founded by former police officer Tom Scott in 1990, The Cotswold Group - soon to be known as G4S Investigation Solutions - was acquired by G4S in April 2011 to strengthen the company’s capabilities, particularly in the investigation of insurance fraud - estimated to cost in excess of $200bn worldwide each year.
