Voice verification Add this

Voice verification provides a flexible and efficient way of monitoring the day-to-day compliance of community-based subjects

Telephone voice verification systems can play a key role in monitoring the conditions of a bail notice, community sentence or licence.

How voice verification works

At the start of a programme, subjects are visited to set up the system and the voice verification process is explained to them. An initial voice recording is taken from the subject, which is used as a blueprint for all future communication by telephone.  Our technology enables us to check the unique voice of the subject against our recorded and stored version each and every time the subject calls through.

Key benefits

  • Minimises the risk of attempted breaches of detention terms
  • Continuous presence which provides “real time” verification and timely notification of any time zone infringements
  • Cost-effective secure way of monitoring subject activities in their day-to-day environment
  • Easy to use system for subjects
  • Offers complete flexibility to arrange scheduled and on-demand inbound and outbound calls to set locations at set times
  • Schedules and alerts can easily be set up and adapted for subjects requiring increased levels of monitoring
  • No hardware or software the system simply uses normal telephone lines
  • Subject voiceprint enrolment for the system is straightforward and instant.

Technology used

Voice verification is based on biometrics which measures distinctive characteristics derived from spoken phrases.  These characteristics are based on the physiology of the vocal tract combined with unique behavioural aspects of speaking to enable verification of the identity of the person who is speaking.

Accuracy is key to compliance monitoring and for this reason the technology we use provides extremely accurate voice verifications.  The system is designed to efficiently operate over different telephony networks, supporting real life conditions, multiple dialects, accent variations and languages including background noise and natural voice changes.
