Services for healthcare
G4S designs and operates facilities and provides a range of services for the NHS and providers of health and social care
We are an innovative and reliable partner for total facilities management (FM), patient transport and forensic medical services, with experience of PFI, PPP and LIFT projects, as well as shorter term contracts.
We understand the challenges and pressures facing those working in a healthcare environment and our services are tailored to meet these requirements. Efficiency, hygiene and care and respect for those in our care are our key priorities.
Control of infection
We have robust infection control policies which guide service delivery. Our staff receive regular training in infection control and hygiene and we enforce strict colour coding of equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
We provide hard and soft FM services, including cleaning, to the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford. The hospital had only one case of MRSA bacteraemia in 2008, following 13 months without infection. No cases have been reported since.
Treating patients with care
We place great importance on respecting patients’ dignity. Our staff receive Customer Care training as part of their induction and are required to demonstrate the utmost care and respect for those people whose welfare and safety is entrusted to us.
We offer flexible, reliable services, delivered in an environment of trust and partnership. We embrace the appropriate sharing of risks, allowing you to concentrate on your core responsibilities. Our committed and efficient workforce is able to respond to operational requirements, and is supported by the resources of a large, international organisation.
Externally recognised standards and inspections
Not only does G4S achieve internationally recognised external registrations and awards for its systems and performance, we support our clients in their statutory duties and help them achieve their targets and pass inspections. The excellent standards delivered by our committed staff contribute to strong results in Care Quality Commission (CQC) and PEAT inspections.
