Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT)
G4S has been a pioneer within the Department of Health’s LIFT (Local Improvement Finance Trust) initiative which stimulates investment in modern, integrated primary care and community-based services
LIFT aims to improve how and where health and social care is provided through the development of a range of new types of health and social care facilities which bring primary care, community services and, in some cases, social services, together under one roof to make access more convenient for patients.
The G4S East London and the City LIFT partnership was the first to be awarded and has been followed by three others, namely:
-
Wolverhampton and Walsall
-
Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich
-
Brent, Harrow and Hillingdon
LIFT represents an exclusive concession for the partner organisations to provide future health related projects and services within the locality for a 25 year period. G4S is represented on the Board of the LIFT Company and provides facilities management services to the public sector participants.
Partnering
Through LIFT, we are a leading proponent of innovative partnering relationships, where public and private sector participants form a joint venture company and jointly invest in and manage the delivery of buildings and services. This approach harnesses the skills and knowledge of each partner and ensures the most appropriate solution is developed.
Services
In addition to acting as a hands-on private sector shareholder within the LIFT companies we provide a range of facilities management (FM) services to the operational facilities that include:
In many cases, G4S also provides the soft FM services such as cleaning, portering and catering as an integrated FM service to tenants.
