Our management structure is flexible, streamlined and efficient. The structure is designed to ensure you have day to day operational support from your local contract manager, as well as support from top line management.

We have 11 contract managers, strategically located throughout the region. They are live locally to the sites they manage, which better enables them to deliver a bespoke, hands on service.
Our contract managers are our key asset - as they manage the day to day relationship with our customers and our staff. They are responsible for:
- Maintaining site documentation such as; risk assessment, training records and assignment instructions
- Developing staff
- Building customer relationships.
The contract managers look after customers within a small geographic area to ensure they maintain regular contact and oversight of the operation.
They are supported by an area manager, whose primary objective it is to maintain service delivery. Further, they are supported by the regional director who focuses on the strategic direction of the business, and team.
The contract managers have generally started their careers as security officers, giving them a foundation in the security industry to build their career on. Previous roles held by some of the contract managers include: police officers, airport station manager and training officer.
Three area managers work across the Region; Paramjit Ram, Andrew Ellis and Phil Jenks. With over 40 years’ security experience between them, our area managers bring a wealth of experience with them.
Paramjit Ram - East Midlands & Anglia
Starting with G4S as a patrol & response officer in West Bromwich over 17 years ago, Paramjit also worked in retail security – holding various positions, from security officer to now, area manager.
Currently, Paramjit has an exceptional portfolio of 65 customers and approximately 350 security officers. His portfolio is very diverse and ranges from securing high profile buildings and general guarding duties to front of house and concierge services.
As an area manager Paramjit covers locations from Nottingham and Milton Keynes to Norwich and Cambridge. Paramjit aims to work in partnership with customers to deliver a bespoke, quality service.
Paramjit has been able to deliver this as he has the capability, confidence and industry know how to effectively manage his area.
His role is predominately to deliver a sustainable business, which grows organically whilst meeting the individual needs of all of his many customers. Paramjit has to apply the same guiding values and principals across the business to see that every customer is treated as an individual.
Phil Jenks – West Midlands
Phil has worked for G4S for over 12 years, holding key operational posts as well as positions in audit and compliance. Prior to working for G4S Phil was part of the Royal Military Police for 22 years. This combination of military and security industry background allows Phil to successfully manage his large portfolio of customers, as well as five contract managers that work across the West Midlands area.
Phil’s goal is to build on the high service delivery and bespoke solutions for customers he already offers, in order to maintain the excellent partnerships he has built.
Andy Ellis - Midlands, Retail
Andy has been with G4S for over two years, and has worked in the security industry for over ten - starting his career as a security officer. Prior to this Andy was in the HM Forces for five years.
Andy has since held various positions that have allowed him to develop his skills for his current post – Retail Manager. Andy’s previous posts include: store detective, contract manager, national contract manager and account manager.
As a retail area manager, his role includes managing the day today needs of the business, such as; ensuring operating procedures are fulfilled and customer requirements are met and delivered to an above average service level. Andy has six major customers across the region.
Mike Willox
Mike started his career in security when he joined G4S over 16 years ago. During this time Mike has held key senior positions that have been essential to the success of the business, from working with Monitoring and Response business – and managing one of our major national accounts, to working in our Audit and Compliance department.
This experience has given him a rounded knowledge of the business, the industry, customers and our service offerings, which have allowed him to implement strategies and efficiencies that have benefited many customers.
The Central Region spans from Nottingham to Worcester and from Shropshire to East Anglia.
With approximately 150 customers over 350 sites, the businesses we work with are very diverse and cover both the public and private sector. We specialise in CCTV Control Room management, Logistics, Front of House services and security in the retail market.
Our primary focus is service delivery to all customers, ensuring they have the right solution to suit their individual business requirements. We aim to deliver a high quality service and a focussed management team that are empowered and accountable for their portfolio.
Sophie Nieboer
Sophie has been with G4S and worked in the security industry for over two years. Her previous roles have been vital to her current position of Business Development Manager. They include; key accounts manager to working on high profile projects.
Sophie works across the Central Region, supporting Mike and the area managers to develop their portfolios and strengthen their local position and proposition, and to bring bespoke security solutions to new and existing customers.
Sophie has over ten years experience in business development focusing on solution selling. She pays particular attention to allowing clients the opportunity to explore service and product innovation – that best suits them.
Sophie is very effective at bringing together the best team from the G4S business to ensure we propose the most effective solution for our clients.
