Threat level manager

In our changing world there are new security threats that can potentially affect any organisation, but particularly those in government and military sectors.

Symmetry Threat Level Manager (TLM) is a management software module that can reconfigure building security at the click of a button. Security teams can use the feature to react instantly to changing circumstances and adjust security levels accordingly.

The TLM feature is a macro offering five different fully-customisable levels of security, each of which can be given its own name, colour code and unrestricted number of commands. The ability to change the level of security allows security to match perceived threat from criminal or terrorist activities and prevents unnecessary inconvenience at times of low threat. 

The module can be applied to scenarios in various industries, for example a school or university could implement one security setting per each term/semester's requirements, one setting for weekend security and one holiday setting to enhance security over longer periods of low occupancy.

Changing the threat level can determine the card holders who are allowed to gain access, the areas they can access and the operation of security equipment around the building. If required, at the click of a button the associated user can change preset site security, for example temporarily request PIN and biometric data at each reader on site or close access to the chemistry laboratory. Scheduled or conditional operations that are normally used to relax site security can be suspended in the event of a fire or other evacuation emergency.
