Delivered by paediatric specialists, this course is suitable for nannies wishing to join the voluntary part of the Ofsted Childcare Register (OCR), as well as au pairs, babysitters, parents and anybody who cares for children and needs a basic first aid course.

This one day (six hour) course is delivered at your venue and can be run at the weekend by arrangement.

The OCR required syllabus covers such topics as:

  • First aid priorities
  • Dealing with an emergency
  • Choking - child and baby
  • Resuscitation (CPR) - child and baby
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Bleeding and shock
  • Burns and scalds
  • Eye and ear injuries
  • Fractures
  • Childhood illnesses incluing meningitis and febrile convulsions. 

Certification is valid for three years.
